Join us for 9 days of yoga in the tradition of BKS Iyengar in the beautiful ‘Island of Gods’, Bali! We will stay in the outskirts of Ubud, the island’s cultural center and yoga hub.
Alex will teach active asana classes in the morning and restorative sessions before dinner. You will have plenty of time to discover Ubud and the surroundings or to simply relax and take time for you.
Alex will inspire you to go deeper in your yoga practice and to get the full benefit out of the poses using, when needed, the perfect set up for your body. The daily practice is designed in a way you will feel energised and relaxed. Be prepared to be challenged in the morning asana classes but also to let go and relax during the restorative sessions. Alex uses the Iyengar method in his classes.
Everyone is welcome, beginners as well as advanced yoga practitioners. The group will be small, perfect to improve and deepen your practice!
Private sessions during the retreat are possible on request.

Bali is located in the southern hemisphere, really close to the Equator, in the Indonesian Archipelago, between Java and Lombok. It is known as the ‘island of the Gods’. The island provides a lush variety of landscape with its hills and mountains, rugged coastlines and sandy beaches, beautiful rice terraces and barren volcanic hillsides.
You will be touched by the Balinese deeply spiritual and unique culture. The island is mostly Hindu but you will find a big difference between the Balinese hinduism and what you can find in India or in Indian communities.
During our time in Bali, we will stay at the boutique retreat center Naya Ubud, nestled in plush tropical gardens and surrounded by rice fields. The spacious, open-air yoga shala overlooks a river and gardens.
In your free time, you can enjoy the Ozone swimming pool, the beautiful gardens or indulge in a massage at the Naya Spa.
